our recent stay at hapuku lodge exceeded our expectations! the team prepared a lovely antipasto for our late arrival, the rooms were beautifully furnished with fantastic vistas, and the food was exceptional. the heated tiles in the bathroom and lovely bath were a treat. we really enjoyed it!

We celebrated our engagement at Hapuku Lodge and Tree Houses and it was absolute luxury. The tree house accommodation was spectacular, with breathtaking views of the sea and snow-covered mountains. The rooms were high tech and filled with extra comforts, like fresh cookies and a complimentary minibar with local produce. The meals at dinner and breakfast were unforgettable, featuring beautifully presented dishes made with fresh, local ingredients. The staff were incredibly personable and attentive, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Watching the deer in the adjacent paddock and the snow falling made our stay even more magical.

Stayed in a tree house with stunning views. Room had a cozy sitting area, fireplace, and large windows to enjoy the scenery. The bathroom had a whirlpool tub and a balcony with a view of the sea. Parking was convenient and there was a same day laundry service available.

Breakfast hampers delivered to the room were not enjoyable, recommend having breakfast in the dining room. The bathroom sensor lights and air conditioning turned on in the middle of the night, waking everyone up since there are no doors to the bedrooms.

We had an amazing time at Hapuku Lodge & Tree Houses. The luxurious accommodations offered breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and Kaikoura Ranges. The food was exquisite, and the warm hospitality from the host was outstanding. I highly recommend this unique and beautiful getaway.

The food at the hotel was outstanding, with multiple menu options for each meal and a great selection of wines and drinks. The flavors in each dish were perfectly balanced and the portions were generous. Another highlight of our stay was the spectacular treehouse accommodation. The design was impressive, with three spacious living areas, a cozy fireplace, and a king-sized bed with multiple covers. The bathroom had a shower with a stunning view of the olive orchard and the Pacific Ocean in the distance, and the two-person jacuzzi provided a perfect spot to relax and take in the breathtaking mountain and ocean views.

While the treehouse accommodations were amazing, some aspects could be improved. The bathrooms should not have sensors that automatically switch on the lights and air conditioning, as this can be disruptive in the middle of the night with no doors separating the bathroom from the bedroom.
